Just a number on the scale

At this time of year, it seems that many of us realize the holiday cookies we had, may have been one (or two dozen) too many. It is easy to get sucked into what the number on the bathroom scale is in the morning, and let that number (good or bad) dictate how the rest of our day will be.

My goal this year is to step away from the scale, and instead focus on my health as a whole. Who cares what my weight is, the important thing is that I am healthy, active and most importantly - setting a good example for my daughter to value herself regardless if she fits into the media's version of the "perfect" body.

This year, I encourage everyone to stop looking at the number on the scale or the size of your jeans and instead do something good for yourself. Focus on the fact that you do attend a Stroller Strides class one, two, even three or more classes a week. You are getting exercise, fresh air and most importantly showing your kids that fitness is fun! That is what counts!

We are all beautiful mothers and FABULOUS! Work it girls! :)
